By airplane

Zadar’s airport Zemunik is well-connected to all major cities in Croatia and Europe, particularly during the summer months. Several low-budget airlines connect the city with a number of cities in Germany, France, UK, Ireland, Belgium, Poland, Slovakia, and Scandinavia (London, Paris, Stockholm, Brussels, Marseille, Frankfurt, Munich, Dublin, Manchester, Oslo, Hamburg, Zurich, Stuttgart, Koln, Dusseldorf, Bratislava, Karlsruhe, Warsaw, Goteborg, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Poznan, and Friedrichshafen).

Zadar is well-connected to all major cities in the world via the airports in Zagreb and Split,. Zemunik airport is situated only 12 km or ten minutes’ drive from Zadar.

By car

Zadar can be reached via a number of routes. However, the most comfortable is the route A1 of the State motorway (Zagreb-Split). You can choose to leave the motorway on either Zadar East exit or Zadar West and take the state road to the city.

If you come from Rijeka, you can choose to drive along the panoramic route of the state road D-8, which extends along the Adriatic coast.

By ferryboat

If you are coming from Italy, the shortest possible route is a ferryboat between Ancona and Zadar. During the summer months there is also a hydrofoil connection between the two cities.
